Jan Aarden-Oude Dolle 67

Timbarra Lofts have aquired the famous strain of Jan Aarden, this has been in the planning since 2021, and has now come to the fore, our aim is to maintain these lines totally seperate and pure away from our JVDB strain. 

We obatained a superb base pair from two main sources, firstly Witbuik Junior 77 which was bred by the House of Aarden, the UK's number one source of long distance racing Aardens, Witbuik Junior 77 is from the line of the best racing Aarden of modern times the Witbuik NL81-1533120 14e National St Vincent 16,629 birds, Witbuik Junior 77 has in his bloodline the famous Witbuik 153 NL94-1340153 sire, G sire, G-G sire of 2nd International Barcelona, 1st International Acebird Perpignan, 5th International Acebird Perpignan, 3rd -9th National Bordeaux, 4th National Marseille, 8th National Perpignan etc.

Also the line of the legendary New Laureaat BELG08-2222675 1st Internaional Barcelona and winner of the Golden Wing Award against 25,382 pigeons. Also winner of 8th National Barcelona 12.281 birds, 323rd National Barcelona 11.590 birds ect. 

Our second half of the base pair is Belle Dolle NL15.1878964 a wonderful hen direct from the master treasurer of the Aarden strain Machiel Buijk. Machiel needs no introduction and has the best Jan Aarden's in the world today, and was a close friend to Marijn Van Geel himself.

Machiel Buijk Jan Aardens are the most inbred and pure family of Jan Aardens anywhere in the world, and it is the skilled breeding with which Machiel has carved out such a testimony to this wonderful strain, to maintain type, quality and inteligence to breed winners is exceptional. This is the reason we obtained Belle Dolle NL15.1878964, she has the Dolle Van 67 on her pedigree numorous times, only in the Buijk Aardens can you find this !  

The basis of the Aarden strain is well documented on Machiel Buijks website https://machielbuijk.nl , but we will brush briefly over some of the history with a few paragraphs.

The origins of the Jan Aarden strain are clearly mapped out, Jan was born in Oosterhout Nederlands, But spent a large time of his life in Steenbergen.

But it is Machiel Buijk who we think has done the biggest honour of maintaining these golden lines for the present day fancier to race, win and enjoy, the name originated with Jan Aarden, then came the great Marijn Van Geel and his wife Martha, the mantel then picked up my Machel Buijk. Truely great fanciers with a passion for a bloodline which is preserved for the future, pigeons such as Zilvervosje, Dolle Van 67, De Vlekje and many many more Icons of the Aarden strain.
